“ Unfortunately, I have to update my review. I’ve returned to this restaurant three more times and ordered the same dish — the ceviche tacos — hoping to find the same amazing flavors I experienced on my first visit. Sadly, they haven’t quite matched that initial experience. They need a bit more marination to really capture the authentic ceviche flavor more acidity and salt. That said, the restaurant still offers a great atmosphere, and the staff remains very friendly. I just wish the ceviche tacos lived up to that first unforgettable taste This is the closest taste to ceviche I’ve had in the Midwest—my new favorite spot from now on. Authentic flavors, the salsa and chips are full of flavor, and the empanadas too. I’d prefer them to be a bit less spicy, but overall 100/10!!! ”
“ This was our first visit and we were very impressed! This restaurant has an amazing seating area along the bar that goes on forever. Along with a lot of other seating as well. We were there for a late lunch and we were told the place had been very full and just cleared out fortunately :-) The service was excellent and the food was very good. They have an impressive selection of tequila! We shared two appetizers, the fundido queso and fresh made guacamole. Both were delicious and came with lots of chips. We will definitely go back! ”

The chips and queso were warm, salty, and downright addicting -the perfect way to start the meal. The Short Rib Birria was next-level comfort food. Tender, fall-apart short ribs bathed in a rich consome, with sweet roasted carrots, pearl onions (the real MVPs!), and a velvety potato puree that tied everything together. This is elevated pot roast at its finest! And the drinks? Refreshing and beautifully crafted. Every sip was balanced, making them the perfect complement to such a flavorful meal. To top it all off, the DJ and music created an amazing atmosphere that made the whole experience even better. Dahlia Kitchen Bar truly nails it - great food, great drinks, and an unforgettable vibe. “ I've been through Mexico, Texas, and Arizona, and South Dakota of all places has THE best guacamole I've ever tried! Empanadas were amazing and a large drink selection! Will definitely return next time I'm in town! ”
“ First time to Dahlia last night and it was simply great. The chips were hot and fresh and salsa was best in town, a key evaluation of any Mexican restaurant in my opinion. Absolutely loved the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant and decor, we ended up sitting at the bar so of course service was fantastic. Food was great, the drinks menu had some very interesting margaritas and cocktails. One of the margaritas we didn't particularly care for but its our own fault for ordering! Nice to be able to go out on a limb and try something new, even if it doesn't work out. The 2 cocktails were delicious. Easy 5 stars and we will be back soon! ”
“ Amazing atmosphere. The Sioux Steel district positions Sioux Falls to retain its position as one of the best growing cities in America. Dahlias is right in the heart of the Sioux Steel district. Atmosphere was open, modern, warm, and friendly. Service was exceptional from greeting to departure. My ancho steak tacos were wayyy too spicy for me but I’m a pansy so don’t take that with a grain of salt. Chips were hot and fresh and margs went down easy. Highly recommend! ”
